Group Work Created by: Ellie Smith, Lewis Brownie, Rowan Easby, Seb Gray, Jay Phillips, Sammy Swire, Dan Ward at Falmouth University
In my first project at college my group had to produce a board game inspired by The Royal Game of Ur, a board game played in Ancient Mesopotomaia during the early third millenium BC. From this project I learnt the importance of being able to paper prototype a game or system so that things can be trialed and tested efficiently without the need to plug weeks of time and work into something that might not work. The project was measured on our team working and how well we implimented agile practises so I learned how to impliment agile practices such as scrum meetings and a Trello board to keep track of tasks. We were pretty organized meeting outside of timetabled sessions to keep track of what needs doing as well as making progress on the project so we came out with a high quality outcome. Next time I will keep track of the trello board and keeping it organized so everyone has an accurate idea of what has been done/what needs doing. Personally I made the template design for the cards and designed the 'King' cards, I also came up with the initial board design, which can be seen in the final version.
